I was born and raised in Casa Grande, Arizona. I attended Central Arizona College in Casa Grande on a speech scholarship. I also worked in a local underground copper mine as a heavy equipment operator to pay for undergraduate education. I also worked at Mervyn’s while living on campus as a janitor at the United Methodist Church complex at Arizona State University. During the summer, I also worked laying concrete curb, sidewalks and bridge abutments. I attended University of the Pacific School of Dentistry on scholarship from Arizona State WICHE and student loans. Upon graduation in 1982 I came to Bullhead City to join a four dentist group with offices in Bullhead City, Lake Havasu City and Kingman. I worked in all the offices for several years until the partnership was dissolved after a partner’s death. I then took over the Bullhead City office where I have remained for nearly 30 years. I attended the Pankey Institute for six weeklong sessions from 1991 onward.
The Pankey Institute takes you from the ground up into all aspects of dentistry at its finest. From that experience I resolved to have a relationship based practice focused on excellence in all phases of treatment. From that experience I have embarked on a very satisfying journey in a profession that I love and enjoy.
I have six boys, three older boys who left Bullhead City to live in the Phoenix Metropolitan area after high school graduation. My oldest son has two boys, 2 and 6 which makes me a grandfather. I have three younger children, a newborn, 4 year old and a 5 year old. They keep me young and it’s a good thing because I enjoy taking care of my dental patients so much I want to continue those relationships for a long time. My recreational interests are outdoor related. If I could make a living hunting and fishing it would be my next choice after dentistry. I am very interested in everything related to shooting, archery, reloading, and the preservation of our wildlife and wild places. I enjoy riding UTVs to experience the beauty throughout this wonderful country. I have also enjoyed coaching baseball and other sports throughout my children’s youth.
I am surrounded by great patients, an awesome staff, and a wonderful family, all of which makes keeping my balance in life very easy.
